“Get Along” is a release that has been 7 years in the making. I wrote this song with my friend, Trey Bruce, who also produced the track. It was so different from any style I’d ever written before. Sonically, it's a cross between pop and americana. As a mostly traditional country artist in the past, I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it, hence the gap from it’s creation to its release, but the message has always been so strong on my heart: Get Along. Over the course of the last 7 years, we have seen our country and its citizens go through some of the most polarizing times our nation has ever seen. Everything from politics to a worldwide pandemic has caused us to latch onto our opinions so strongly that we are willing to cut ties with friends, even our own family. This song was written before any of that happened, but time has proven that the more things change, the more they stay the same. I want this song to be a message of hope and peace in the midst of the chaos, shouting truth from the rooftops that every single one of us has more in common than not. At the end of the day, we all want the same thing: Love. Let’s all Get Along
